{"id":9324,"date":"2016-01-31T14:47:49","date_gmt":"2016-01-31T12:47:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/candle.gr\/?post_type=product&#038;p=9324"},"modified":"2026-03-11T16:39:11","modified_gmt":"2026-03-11T14:39:11","slug":"ecosoya-pb-10-2","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/candle.gr\/en\/candle-wax\/soy-wax-vegetable-wax\/ecosoya-pb-10-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Hard Soy Wax &#8211; Cera Soy PB (Kerax KeraSoy Pillar 4120)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Hard Soy Wax &#8211; Cera Soy PB (Kerax KeraSoy Pillar 4120).<\/strong>  It is a hard soy wax specially designed for the production of candles in moulds and tarts. Kerax KeraSoy Pillar 4120 is biodegradable and vegan friendly. No animal products are used and no animal testing has been carried out. Cera Soy Pillar Blend requires no additives, except for fragrance and color.  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Do not heat the wax above 85\u00b0C for a long time. Candles should be kept in a cool, dry place away from direct heat, sunlight and moisture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>&gt;  Moulds<\/h3>\n<p>The molds should be clean and at least at room temperature, though preheated to about. 45 &#8211; 50\u00b0C can be beneficial, as can heating the mould with a dryer before casting.<\/p>\n<h3>&gt;  Color<\/h3>\n<p>Kerax KeraSoy Pillar 4120 is easily coloured with powder, liquid, chips, blocks, etc. When using powder paints, heat the wax to approx. 75\u00b0C, add the dye and stir until dissolved.<\/p>\n<p>Powdered dyes can also be dissolved in perfume and then added to the melted wax, make sure the dye is completely dissolved before adding it. When using powdered dyes dissolved in perfume, liquid dyes or colour blocks heat the wax to 70\u00b0C. If you want to make your wax darker or richer, add some black dye to the colour you are using.  <\/p>\n<h3>&gt; Fragrance<\/h3>\n<p>Kerax KeraSoy Pillar 4120 is designed for fragrance at a level of 5 to 10%.<\/p>\n<h3>&gt; Candle Wick<\/h3>\n<p>Natural waxes tend to require larger wick sizes than traditional paraffin waxes. The fragrance, colour, shape and size of the candles have a great influence on the right choice of wick.<\/p>\n<p>A large wick can cause soot, accelerated burn time and wax leakage from the wax side. A very small wick will cause candle tunneling and produce a smaller flame. Burn tests should be carried out after the wax has had a chance to cure for 48 hours after pouring so that crystallisation is complete.<\/p>\n<h3>&gt; Candle Making<\/h3>\n<p>Pouring temperatures may vary depending on the type and size of the mould, the fragrance or dye load used and of course the results the candle maker wishes to achieve.<\/p>\n<p>Greater release from the moulds can be achieved by pouring at a temperature of around 55 &#8211; 65\u00b0C, although this will depend on the size and shape of the wax produced. Perfume should be added and mixed immediately before pouring when possible.<\/p>\n<p>If you have difficulties with the pouring temperature, try lower or higher temperatures in increments of 5 &#8211; 10\u00b0C. Consider pouring into preheated moulds for improved release properties.<\/p>\n<h3>&gt;  Double-Pour<\/h3>\n<p>Cera Soy PB is designed to require only one injection, however for some large columns. supplementation is required to achieve the best wax surface.<\/p>\n<h3>&gt; Candle Curing<\/h3>\n<p>Cure them at room temperature (about 22-25\u00b0C).
