Frankincense Essential Oil has a fresh terpene note with a rich, sweet balsamic tone and is classified as a base note. It blends well with camphor, citrus, earthy, floral, herbal, mint, spicy and woody oils.
It is full of anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, astringent and carminative properties. It is widely known for its benefits in skin care, especially for fighting acne and is effective for treating stress-related conditions.
Precautions
: Always test skin sensitivity before widespread use. Never use pure oils on the skin without dilution, never use as a drink, keep away from children and eyes, always check if there are any medical issues that could cause a problem. Ask for help if you are in doubt. READ the contraindications.

History: Both Frankincense – also known as Olibanum – and Myrrh have been traded in the Middle East and North Africa for over 5,000 years… According to the Hebrew Bible, frankincense and myrrh were components of the sacred incense ritually burned in the holy temples of Jerusalem in ancient times.
When applied topically, it should be used in dilution – a base oil such as Almond, Coconut, Jojoba, Olive or Hemp is recommended – and in small amounts, as using the oil directly or in high concentrations can cause skin irritation.
Skin check before use is recommended. This can be done by diluting the essential oil in a base oil and applying a small amount to a small area of skin that is not sensitive. It should never be used near the eyes, inner nose and ears or other particularly sensitive areas of the skin.
