Here you will find the questions we receive most frequently from our customers.
The size of the wick that fits the wax we want to make depends on the diameter of the container or the size of the mould we use. The type of wick differs depending on the type of wax we use. So, for soft soy in a container we recommend the waxed EcoStabilo wick or 2 wooden wicks on a stand, while in a hard soy wax mould we recommend the EcoStabilo Cotton wick with the measure, which is not waxed. For soft paraffin in a container, the waxed PGS wick or a wooden wick is suitable, while in moulds with hard paraffin we use the PGS wick with the measure.

We recommend that the temperature at which you add the fragrance is 5 degrees above the casting temperature. To find the casting point of each candle visit our BLOG and the category Description and Material Specifications.
Cracks are usually created by high casting temperature. Try lowering the casting temperature by 5 degrees until you find the right filling point.
White spots are usually formed on herbal candles. This means that your wax needs a higher casting temperature. Increase the wax casting temperature by 5 degrees. If you are using wax in a mould, we recommend that you heat your mould with a heat gun or even a hair dryer before filling it with melted wax.
When the plant waxes are placed in a mould, they start a chemical process called the crystallization period, which lasts at least 24 hours. This process hardens our wax quite a bit. We therefore recommend that the unloading should be done as close as possible to the end of the 24-hour period. The same applies to soft candles, you should wait at least 24 hours before burning a candle. Finally we could harden our wax more by adding colza wax from rapeseed, vegetable stearin, beeswax or hard paraffin.
Several reasons why this could happen:
Settling around the wick. High casting temperature.
Air in the candle. Do not stir the wax to speed up its melting.
Cold bench. Temperature transfer from the wax cooling on a bench (especially marble). Cool your candles by placing them on an oven rack to reduce temperature leakage from the surface to the candle.

All the fragrance oils that you will find in our store are manufactured by French Color & Fragrances, and comply with the EU REACH standards.They are fully suitable for use in both candles and reed diffusers.
We do not recommend using decorations in the candle because your candle becomes unusable, dangerous and a source of ignition.
Only vegetable waxes can be melted in the microwave. However, melting the wax in a microwave oven is a method that we do not recommend because hot spots are created in the wax, which results in the inability to control the temperature of the wax, which leads to the non-uniformity of the wax temperature and the change of its composition. The recommended method of melting wax is by using a bain-marie.
The melting point, or melting temperature, is the temperature at which a pure substance (chemical element or chemical compound) changes phase from the solid state to the liquid state. It is essentially the temperature at which both the solid and liquid states of a (pure) substance coexist in equilibrium.

Casting is the process whereby a material in a molten state is fed (discharged) through a conduit into a suitably prepared cavity (mould or die) where it is solidified.
The casting point is the temperature at which a molten material can be placed in the mould.
