DIY Soap with Papoutsanis soap base and the silicone mold Eye – Mataki!

Today we will show you how to make your own unique soaps using Papoutsanis Shea Butter – Opaque White SLS Free soap base and eye-eye shaped silicone moulds. This process is not only fun and creative, but also super easy even for beginners. Eye-eye soaps can make great gifts or just a beautiful addition to your bathroom. Let’s get started!

 

Materials you will need:

Silicone mould in eye-eye shape

Papoutsanis Shea Butter Soap – Opaque White SLS Free

Colour for soap PCD FCF – Blue

Colour for soap PCD FCF – Black

FCF Fragrance Oil of your choice

Silicone Mixing Measurement Container 100ml

Step 1: Preparing the Materials
Start by cutting the soap base into small pieces to make it easier to melt. Place the pieces in a microwave safe bowl or bain marie.

Step 2: Melting the Blue Soap Base
Melt the soap base in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring each time until it is completely wet. If using a bain marie, stir continuously until the base is completely melted.

Step 3: Add Color and Fragrance
After the soap base has melted, add a few drops of blue color and mix well. Then add the fragrance oil of your choice.

Step 4: Casting in the Mould
Place the mould on your bench, facing upwards as shown in Figure 1. Carefully pour the blue soap mixture into your mold.

Step 5: Waiting and Removing from the Mould
Allow the soap to cool and solidify for a few hours (Figure 2)

and carefully remove it from the mould (Figure 3).

Step 6: Melting the soap base without colour
Melt the soap base following the same procedure, this time without adding colour. Papoutsanis Shea Butter Soap Base is white in color and will give you the same effect!

Step 7: Casting in the Blue Soap.
Pour the white soap into the solidified blue soap, as shown in Figure 4.

Step 8: Melting the Soap Base with Black Paint
Melt the soap base following the same procedure, adding the black paint.

Step 9: Casting in the Blue Soap.
Pour the black soap into the solidified blue soap, as shown in Figure 5.

Let the soap cool and solidify and… it’s ready! Don’t forget that you can experiment with many shades of blue, depending on the drops of color you add, as well as many different soap scents!
