Different shades can be achieved with the same colour depending on the amount of drops you use.

• Paraffin and vegetable candles and plastics:
  *White shades (Vanilla, Ivory)……………… >1 drop / Kg
  *Pale shades (Peach, Pink)…………………….. >1 drop / Kg
  *Medium shades (Red, Blue, Yellow)…………. 4 drops / Kg
  *Dark shades …………………………………………… 8 drops / Kg

Factors that can affect the amount of dye required for the desired tone include:
– The opacity of the wax, whether it is vegetable or paraffin wax.
– Wax additives such as stearic acid and fragrance.

Use in Diffusol air freshener base and gel wax:
Medium to dark shades. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . >1 drop per litre / Kg
Lighter shades. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . >1 drop per 2 liters / Κg

*We recommend that you use a UV blocker on all products that contain dyes.
Ask us about UV stabilizers.
*Be careful not to overload the wax with liquid dye as it may change the burn and/or smell of your finished candle

Instructions

In a double boiler (bain-marie), melt the amount of wax you want to use.

Drip the amount of colour in drops you want into the melted wax. Stir gently until blended, adding fragrance oil if desired. Put a few drops on a piece of white paper, once the wax dries you will see the shade you have achieved. Add accordingly to reach the desired shade.
