Soy Waxing Package

The perfect package for a beginner candelabra maker.

Each pack contains enough supplies to create 3 scented soy candles in glass containers and 4 soy resos.

The soy wax is environmentally friendly, very easy to use, cleans up with dishwashing liquid and contains detailed instructions to make beautiful personal scented candles. All you’ll need are 2 pots, a spoon to stir, paper towels and some silicone. Don’t worry about cleanliness soy wax cleans up with dishwashing liquid!

The Soy Waxcracker pack contains:

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1 – Choosing a glass container

Choose a container that has been cleaned well and has no scratches or damage with a large mouth 7-8 cm wide and mark the centre of the bottom with a marker.

Step 2 – Wick placement

Place the wick on the metal grip and pinch it with a pair of tweezers. Place a small amount of silicone on the metal grip of the wick. Press and secure the wick with the grip in the center of the bottom of the container, where you made the mark with a marker with a stick (e.g. pencil – skewer straw – popsicle stick) and let it dry for a few hours so that when you fill it with the liquid wax, it won’t come off.

Step 3 – Melting soy wax

Place the soy wax flakes in a Ben Marie, (A pot of water in which you place another pot with your wax). We always melt the wax in a Ben Mari never directly on the fire for safety reasons. One glass of the packet holds about 140 grams. When the water starts to simmer, lower the heat and stir gently with a spoon until all the flakes are melted.

Step 4 – Colouring (Optional)

Add half a colour cube for every 500 grams of soy wax and stir gently until the colour melts. You can add more but there is a chance that your wick will get clogged and not burn properly.

Step 5 – Flavouring (Optional)

Remove the pot from the Ben Marie and place it on a fireproof surface (e.g., a grill, cork, etc.) so that the liquid wax starts to cool evenly. The fragrance of the kit is enough to scent 500 grams of wax. Add all the fragrance to the liquid wax and stir gently to avoid creating bubbles, for at least 2 minutes so that the fragrance mixes properly with your wax.

Step 6 – Placing in the container and crystallization

Let the wax sit for a few minutes and stir to create a uniform temperature. Ideal temperature to fill the containers is when our wax is between 55o and 65o C degrees. The soy wax is ready to be placed in the container. Slowly and steadily fill the container with liquid wax. Place a skewer stick in the mouth of the container to support your wick in the center and keep it slightly stretched. Allow the soy wax to cool, harden and crystallize for at least 1 day. When cool, cut the wick with a pair of scissors to a height of just over half a centimetre. Our candle is ready. Congratulations!
