Reso Soy Candelabra Package. The perfect package for a beginner waxer.

This is the perfect soy risotto making kit for the beginner maker! Each kit contains enough supplies to create 20 soy cherries. The soy wax is environmentally friendly, very easy to use and comes with detailed instructions. The soy resos burn for 5 to 6 hours meaning a total of ~100 hours of burning! The clean burning of soy wax allows for the reuse of the aluminum cases which are more robust than regular cases.

The Soybean Reso Construction Kit contains:

20 x Aluminium holders for spare parts
20 x Cotton wicks eco
0.4 kg soy wax flakes(Enough for 20 soy chips)
1 x Colour in a Cube (Enough to colour 1 kilo of soy wax to a pastel shade)
1 x Perfume 25 grams (To flavour 20 resos)

Each packet contains enough supplies to create 20 flavored soy chips.

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1 – Preparing the risotto

Line up the reserve cases on the edge of a table.

Step 2 – Preparing the wicks

Place the wick on the metal grip and pinch it with a pair of tweezers. Do not glue the wicks to the cases.

Step 3 – Melting soy wax

Place the soy wax flakes in a Ben Marie, (A pot of water in which you place another pot with your wax). We always melt the wax in a Ben Mari never directly on the fire for safety reasons. One reso holds about 20 grams of wax. When the water starts to simmer, lower the heat and stir gently with a spoon until all the flakes are melted.

Step 4 – Colouring (Optional)

Add the color cube and stir gently until the color melts.

Step 5 – Flavouring (Optional)

Remove the pot from the Ben Marie and place it on a fireproof surface (e.g., a grill, cork, etc.) so that the liquid wax starts to cool evenly. The scent of the kit is enough to scent all of your wax. Add all of the fragrance to the liquid wax and stir gently to avoid creating bubbles for at least 2 minutes so that the fragrance mixes properly with the wax.

Step 6 – Filling and crystallisation of the resin

Let the wax sit for a few minutes and stir to create a uniform temperature. Ideal temperature to fill the resos is when our wax is ~65o C degrees. The soy wax is ready to be placed in the resos. Place some liquid wax in a small briquette and slowly and steadily fill each reso.

Let the candle congeal a little, so that when the wick is placed, it does not lean and bend because of the high temprature. Place the wicks in the same circle in the centre of the chiffonade. Once the wax starts to cool down you can correct the wick’s placement on the center of the tealight cup. Allow the soy wax to cool, harden and crystallize for at least 1 day. When cool, cut the wick with a pair of scissors to a height of 1cm. Our resos are ready. Congratulations!
