In Italy, Bergamot essential oil is named after the Italian city of Bergamo in Lombardy, where it was originally sold.
Bergamot essential oil has been used in Italian folk medicine for many years. The oil consists of a greenish yellow hue, accompanied by a fresh, sweet and slightly spicy nuance. With ageing, it becomes brown in colour. Fresh and refreshing citrus aroma. Bergamot is also useful for oily skin as a skin conditioner.

Precautions: Always test for skin sensitivity before widespread use. Non-toxic, non-irritating, non-sensitizing. Avoid use in direct sunlight. May cause eye irritation.
