Virginia Cedar essential oil is derived from the wood and bark of the Juniperus virginiana tree, which is native to North America and has a long history of use by indigenous people for its medicinal properties.
In aromatherapy, Virginia Cedarwood essential oil is known for its calming properties. It has a warm, woody and slightly sweet aroma that is often used in perfumes, colognes and other fragrances.

History:
Virginia Cedar has a long history of use by various indigenous tribes of North America for its medicinal properties. The leaves, branches and bark were used to treat a variety of ailments such as coughs, colds, fever and skin diseases.
Apart from its medicinal use, the Eastern Red Cedar was also used for spiritual and ritual purposes. Native American tribes burned wood to cleanse the air and drive away evil spirits. Wood was also used to make ritual objects, such as flutes and drums.
